Establishing an appropriate treatment plan is essental when working with very young, minimally verbal childrenwith suspected CAS. Traditional language stimulation techniques such as self‐talk, parallel talk, environmental talkand sentence expansion will not facilitate the emergence of speech in these toddlers. Instead, an approach thatfocuses on motor planning skills must be utilized with an emphasis on helping these young children become communication risk takers. Ten treatment goals will be outlined in this webinar along with a variety of clinically relevantstrategies and activities for use in early intervention.
